"MEDICINE WHEEL:" A PLANNED GREEN COMMUNITY"
The Gosselin Group, Inc. is honored to be chosen as the principal planners and engineers for this proposed 160 acre "green community" project in Newburg Township, Cass County, Michigan.
Owners Nancy and Kurt Brandenburg possess a passion for developing their beautiful, rolling, wooded site into a sustainable community using infrastructure and home-building techniques that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
Proposed project elements include:
- BIOSWALES AND RAIN GARDENS for storm water management
- CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS as needed for septic fields
- PERMEABLE PAVEMENT is under consideration
- ICF (Insulating Concrete Foam) construction for homes with Phoneix Systems representative Dr. Norm Dolbow as lead advisor
- A SEMINAR CENTER/SPA is planned to be the "heart" of the community
- COMMUNITY GARDENS, BIKE PATHS, and other elements are planned to foster the social cohesivenes of residents of the community
